Fans enjoy a show at DTE Energy Music Theatre in 2019. The Detroit-area venue will implement Mixhalo technology this week.

Mixhalo, the technology company that provides high-quality, real-time audio to fans via their smartphones, announced a partnership with Detroit-area promoter 313 Presents on Monday, adding to its growing list of affiliates throughout the live industry.

313 Presents promotes and produces events at Little Caesars Arena, Fox Theatre, Meadow Brook Amphitheatre, Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre and DTE Energy Music Theatre, and the latter venue will deploy Mixhalo beginning with a Dave Matthews Band concert on Aug. 11.

“313 Presents is thrilled to activate Mixhalo at our world-class venues in and around Detroit,” said Howard Handler, president of 313 Presents, in a statement. “As we continuously look for ways to elevate the guest experience and provide fresh opportunities for all fans, Mixhalo offers the cutting-edge technology to deliver those unique experiences that reach every seat in the house.”

“Detroit is a bustling city known for its exceptional live entertainment, and 313 Presents delivers the best in live entertainment for every type of fan,” Mixhalo CEO John Vars added in a statement. “As people’s desires for deeper connection are greater than ever, we want to help deliver a live music experience that feels intimate and memorable.”

Mixhalo received early support from industry heavyweights (Red Light Management, Another Planet Entertainment) and artists (Metallica, Aerosmith), and has continued to garner new partners, including San Francisco’s Stern Grove Festival in July and Banc of California Stadium, home to Los Angeles FC, in late 2020.

“Folks are really interested – venues and teams, both music and sports – in just how, when we come back to shows and games and matches, how we can elevate that experience, how we can make it even better than they remembered before,” Vars told Pollstar sister publication VenuesNow when Mixhalo announced its Banc of California Stadium partnership.

Mixhalo co-founder and co-chairman Ann Marie Simpson-Einziger was a VenuesNow All-Star in 2020.
