More Dead & Company Postponements

John Mayer’s emergency appendectomy has forced Dead & Company to postpone its remaining 2017 shows.

Because the band was nearing the end of its current tour, the itinerary damage is limited to three gigs.

News of Mayer’s unexpected appendectomy broke yesterday along with notice that band’s Dec. 5 gig at New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center was postponed.

An update from the band indicates Mayer is recovering from the operation.

But that doesn’t mean Dead & Company will return to the road within the next few days.  Band representatives say the two remaining shows on the schedule – Amway Center in Orlando Dec. 7 and BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., Dec. 8 – are also postponed.  And that would be a wrap for 2017.

Tickets purchased for the original shows will be honored on the yet-to-be-announced new dates, and refunds are available at points of purchase.
