Esteemed country music agent Aaron Tannenbaum has joined WME as a partner after departing CAA. He will be based in WME’s Nashville office.
Tannenbaum had worked at CAA since 2010, where he represented clients including Luke Combs, Aaron Watson, Brantley Gilbert, Shooter Jennings, Walker Hayes and Craig Campbell. It was not confirmed at press time which clients will be making the move with him.

“Aaron has earned a reputation in our business as an agent who has a strong ability to identify talent and takes the long-view in building an artist’s career, making him a great fit for us,” Scott Clayton, WME’s Co-Head of Music, said in a statement.
Jay Williams, Co-Head of WME’s Nashville office, added, “As our Nashville office continues to grow, Aaron represents a significant addition to our team and we look forward to bringing his creativity and strategic approach to our colleagues and clients.”
Prior to CAA, Tannenbaum worked at Paradigm.
Tannenbaum’s accolades over the years include being named to Billboard’s Rising Stars List, Billboard Country Power Players List, and HITS’ Next Wave Agents list.
He was recently featured in Pollstar’s 2020 survey, “Thought Leaders Think Ahead.”
When asked about strategies that he’s implemented to address the challenges of the pandemic Tannenbaum said, “2020 has been an incredibly challenging year to make long and short term strategic plans. For me the strategy has been to stay flexible, educate myself, and lean into the relationships and partners that I trust. Flexibility has allowed me to pivot quickly as new information or opportunities become available. …”
