Manhattan nightclub’s (le) poisson rouge’s new paid platform will host livestreamed shows from the venue and more.

New York City nightclub (le) poisson rouge announced a subscription-based livestreaming platform on Wednesday.

LPR.tv will be comprised of live performances from the storied Manhattan nightclub, presented in high definition with full production and soundboard audio.

The series launches in October, and already has 11 shows confirmed for the month, including Cults, Kimbra, Son Little and !!!. Other announced programming includes Kevin Devine (Nov. 7), San Fermin (Nov. 17), Samia (Dec. 3), Sunflower Bean (Dec. 5), Oso Oso (Dec. 6) and Frankie Rose (Jan. 14).

Subscriptions for the service will cost $19.99 per month and give viewers access to all livestreamed LPR concerts, along with on-demand access to past streams, interviews, lessons and more.

“LPR.tv was born out of our need to safely get back to doing what we do best, putting on bold, carefully curated and unique live performances for a discerning audience,” LPR co-founder David Handler said in a statement. “It’s about getting artists out of their living rooms and back on stage where they belong. It’s about putting our production team back to work making everything look and sound extraordinary. It’s about supporting an ecosystem of the indie music industry that has been hit hard by this pandemic. Most importantly though, it’s about giving the fans that profoundly important experience of witnessing live art, but in the comfort of their homes, until it’s safe to bring audiences back to the venue again.”

LPR senior music director and partner Brett Tabisel added that “the subscription model allows us to take the risks we are known for, while giving artists a platform to perform safely, with the production quality they deserve.”
