Nickelback Nixes Tour

That sound you’ve been hearing all morning is the gentle sobbing of Nickelback’s European fans after hearing that the band has scrubbed the remaining dates of its 2015 tour so that singer Chad Kroeger can recuperate following surgery for a cyst on his voice box.

This isn’t the first time Nickelback has canceled shows due to Kroeger’s vocal problems, having been forced to toss its North American tour to the wind in June.  Up until this week the band was planning to return to the road late September, beginning with a gig in Helsinki, Finland.  Now Nickelback is saying “Kroeger will require an extended period of recovery in order to heal completely.”

From Nickelback.com:

“Most of all, we are sorry to miss our fans out on the road this fall, but Chad’s health, healing and full recovery are what is most important right now.  With the proper amount of time, we hope to have him back stronger and better than ever before.  We thank everyone for their support and understanding during this time and look forward to getting back out on the road and playing music for everyone again real soon.”
