The experiment produced no new positive PCR tests after the weekend.

Over the weekend of Aug. 6-8, Berlin’s clubs took part in the so-called “Clubculture Reboot,” to determine the risk of spreading coronavirus in an indoor scenario involving only guests, who tested negatively beforehand.

The initiative was led by Clubcommission, the association representing some 250 of the clubs in the German capital, in cooperation with the city’s policy makers, health authorities and some scientists.
The 2,110 participants, all above 18 years of age, agreed to get tested twice, pre and post event, irrespective of their vaccination status.
Seven positive cases were identified ahead of the weekend, three of whom had been infected at least ten days prior, as well as four new cases. One of them was fully vaccinated.
Only those with a negative test were issued tickets to the participating clubs, which included the Metropol, Kitkat, Salon zur Wilden Renate, and more.
Just under 70% of those taking part in the experiment (1447 people) showed up for their post-event testing appointment on Aug. 13. All of the post-event retests were negative. According to a press release sent out by Clubcommission toady, these are “encouraging results.”
