Oli Herbert, lead guitarist for All That Remains, has died, band members confirmed Oct. 17. Details regarding cause of death were unavailable at press time, with requests to respect the privacy of family and the band.

“Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and songwriter who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast,” All That Remains posted on its Facebook page. “His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely.”

Herbert was a founding member of the band and played on all of its albums from 2002’s Behind Silence and Solitude to 2018’s Victim of the New Disease.

It was unclear at press whether All That Remains would go ahead with its upcoming co-headline shows with Sevendust in the U.K. and solo run through Europe.

All That Remains has remained a fixture on the North American club circuit, with full tours in 2017 and 2015. The band’s 2017 headline plays included L’Astral in Montreal for a $9,130 gross and The Pub Station in Billings, Mont., for a $11,975 gross.
