He’s also the founder of the Lockn’ festival in Arrington, Va., which began in 2013. After being forced to cancel in 2020 because of the pandemic, the fest is set to return Oct. 1-3. Plus, Shapiro serves as chairman of voter engagement non-profit HeadCount and famously orchestrated the Grateful Dead’s five “Fare Thee Well” shows in 2015.
With a focus on “Reviving Live!” and how the music business will return after the pandemic shut down touring, Pollstar Live! is set for June 15-17 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
