Pollstar Live! To Feature Keynote Conversation With Nicki Minaj And Irving Azoff

Pollstar Live! has been the concert industry’s premier forum for discussion and networking for decades, and 2020 will continue this tradition with a keynote conversation between famed artist manager Irving Azoff and hip-hop superstar and entrepreneur Nicki Minaj.

With Pollstar Live! to take place Feb. 4-6 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, the keynote promises to be wildly engaging as both Minaj and Azoff, outspoken personalities at the top of their fields, are known for not holding back.
Minaj in 2017 achieved the record of having the most career hits on the Billboard Hot 100 of any female artist ever, and holds the record as the songwriter for the most Billboard Hot 100 entries among women in the 2010s.
She’s appeared on high-profile collaborations with artists including Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Madonna, Eminem, Jay Z, Lil Wayne and Kanye West, and with her own Beats 1 radio show titled “Queen Radio” where she engages in unfiltered banter with her massive fan army of “Barbz” and special guests.  She’s had numerous TV and film appearances including as a judge on “American Idol,” voiceover work on films including “Ice Age: Continental Drift” and “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse,” as well as endorsements and business dealings including an ownership stake in Jay-Z’s Tidal music streaming service. In March she wrapped a European arena tour with support from the red-hot Juice WRLD.

Azoff counts major stars among his management clientele, including Eagles, Jon Bon Jovi, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera, John Mayer, Van Halen,  Steely Dan, and Chelsea Handler. Meanwhile, his Azoff Company’s holdings include performance rights organization Global Music Rights, Full Stop Management (Harry Styles, Lizzo, Meghan Trainor, Kanye West, Charli XCX, among others), premium experience company Lane One, as well as a consultancy relationship with the Madison Square Garden Company. He also is a co-founder of Pollstar parent company, Oak View Group.

Pollstar Live! is the largest gathering of live music industry professionals in the world. This year’s event will also feature an exclusive Q&A with former Creed frontman Scott Stapp to go along with varied speakers including “The Rule of Three: How C3’s Three Cs Changed The Way We Present Live Music” with C3 Presents’ Charles Attal, Charlie Jones and Charlie Walker.

Pollstar Live! 2019 featured a Q&A between Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, a discussion with George Clinton, and much more.

Production Live! – scheduled Feb. 4 – is dedicated to the production side of the industry, with panels on technologically enhanced live events, maximizing rehearsals, the latest technology in sound, lights and video, and more.
The conference culminates in the Feb. 6 Pollstar Awards, with nominees just announced in categories from Major Tour of The Year, to Road Warrior, to Venue Executive, to Transportation Company to even “Life Of The Party.”
The 2019 Pollstar Live! conference was attended by more than 2,000 music industry stakeholders, surpassing 2018’s record-setting year, the first under Pollstar’s parent company, Oak View Group.
