U.S. music fans will have to wait another year to welcome the stateside debut of the beloved Spanish festival Primavera Sound On a positive note, organizers have expanded the first edition of Primavera Sound Los Angeles from two to three days. 

Dates are set for Sept. 16-18, 2022, at the Los Angeles State Historic Park.  
Before COVID put a halt to live events, Primavera Sound Los Angeles was supposed to take place at the same venue Sept. 19-20, 2020, with the debut co-produced by Live Nation. The event was then pushed back to Sept. 18-19, 2021. 
Ticketholders can hold onto their tickets and use them for the 2022 dates or request a refund via their Front Gate Tickets account. Refund requests must be made by July 29 at 9:30 a.m. PT. 
The lineup is yet to be revealed. An announcement promises that organizers are “working with renewed energy to bring the full Primavera Sound experience to Los Angeles. Until then, take care and see you in 2022.”
As for the Barcelona edition, Primavera Sound will return in 2022 with an expanded two-weekend format (June 2-4 and June 9-11) in delayed celebration of its 20th anniversary. More than 150 concerts will be held throughout Barcelona under the Primavera a la Ciutat moniker June 5-8. The festivities wrap up June 12, with Primavera’s Brunch On The Beach party.
The Strokes, Tyler, the Creator, Tame Impala, Massive Attack and Gorillaz will headline both weekends, while Pavement, The National and Nick & The Bad Seeds will exclusively headline the first weekend and Dua Lipa, Lorde and Yeah Yeah Yeahs will exclusively headline the second. The lineup also features Megan Thee Stallion, Interpol, Beck, Jorja Smith, Dinosaur Jr., Yo La Tengo, Kim Gordon, Brockhampton, Earl Sweatshirt, Kacey Musgraves and more.
