Put on your favorite cat-eye glasses and warm up your singing pipes – we’ve got news to celebrate! Comedian Randy Rainbow has signed with CAA for worldwide representation. 

The performer — who is also an actor, singer, writer and satirist — is best known for his musical parodies and political spoofs including his “Braggadocious!” video of the 2016 presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, which has more than 31 million views. 
Last year his YouTube comedy series The Randy Rainbow Show earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series. 
Other career highlights from 2019 include being profiled by CNN, landing the cover of The Washington Post Magazine and featured in Variety’s 2019 Comedy Impact Report. Plus, his debut Christmas album, Hey Gurl, It’s Christmas, hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Comedy Album charts and has also topped the Holiday Album chart on iTunes.

“I come from a typical New York Jewish family where humor was always treasured and cherished and used as a coping mechanism,” Rainbow told Variety. “That, along with musical theatre, were very important for me and very healing and helped get me through being an outcast and bullied on the playground. Now I’m using those tools and offering them up to others when the country is being bullied on the playground.” 
Rainbow was also featured in the New York Times‘ roundup of the “Best Performances of 2019.” Wesley Morris writes, “Even though all of this guy’s YouTube micro-musicals are pretty straightforward (change the lyrics of an old show tune or current-ish pop hit and crosscut them with Trump-oriented news footage), I don’t know how he does it. Not simply the withering wit and the richness of his singing but the hydraulic reactions. Those alone make Joan Crawford seem like Steven Seagal.”
The comedian has upcoming tour dates booked across the country, including a gig at Garde Arts Center in New London, Conn., Jan. 17 and a show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles Feb. 8. Recent reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice include a Nov. 1 show at the State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick, N.J., that sold 1,703 tickets and grossed $78,845.
