Richman Exits Comcast Spectacor

Ike Richman, Comcast Spectacor’s VP of public relations is leaving that company after 29 years to start his own firm.

Ike Richman Communications will assist professional sports teams and owners, arenas and stadiums, concert promoters and family shows, with Comcast Spectacor as its first client, Richman announced.

While at Comcast Spectacor, Richman specialized in publicizing live local, regional, national and international events including the Super Bowl, Republican and Democratic National Conventions, NBA Finals, NHL Stanley Cup Finals, World Cup of Hockey, figure skating and gymnastics Olympic trials, NCAA men’s and women’s basketball and NCAA wrestling championships, among many other marquee events.

Richman has also created publicity for events including more than 700 concerts, and orchestrated press conferences for artists including Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Garth Brooks, and Metallica.

In addition, he serves as an adviser to numerous nonprofit organizations, including the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, Police Athletic League, the Shirley Povich School of Sports Journalism, and Philabundance.
