Fantasy Rock Camp Returns
– Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp Returns

The pandemic has put so many dreams on hold, from weddings to the entire live industry. But things are looking up with the vaccine distribution in the U.S., concerts are returning – and even the fantasy of jamming with legendary rock stars is once again a reality. Rock ’N’ Roll Fantasy Camp is returning Nov. 11-14 with details for the next in-person camp announced today.

The next Fantasy Camp takes place in Hollywood, Fla., with a lineup topped by Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Richie Faulkner of Judas Priest, and Steve Morse of Deep Purple and Dixie Dregs.
All-star counselors include Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath), Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big), Tony Franklin (The Firm), Gary Hoey, John Moyer (Disturbed), Jason Ebs (Peter Criss), Britt Lightning (Vixen), Kirk McKim (Pat Travers), Dave Spitz (Black Sabbath), Ashley Reeve (Cher), Tim Diduro (Slaughter) and Sharon Aguilar (Ceelo Green).
Attendees will get to spend a weekend living the rock star life by jamming, rehearsing, writing, recording, learning and performing with the all-star counselors. On the final night of the event, campers will get the chance to take the stage with Steve Morse at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., to perform favorite tunes by Megadeth, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Dixie Dregs and Flying Colors.

Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp was created by esteemed producer David Fishof, whose career highlights also include creating and producing Ringo Staff & His-All Star Band tours, producing the Monkees 20th anniversary reunion tour and producing the Dirty Dancing Live Tour.
With COVID restrictions preventing in-person gatherings during the pandemic, like so many other events, the Fantasy Camp pivoted online with Master Classes. Fishof took part in a Pollstar Digital Session with artist manager Shep Gordon in August in which the producer discussed the Master Classes which have featured Alice Cooper, Steve Gadd, Sebastian Bach, Steve Howe, Lita Ford, and Gordon himself, along with many others, all giving lessons on how to rock in all aspects of the music industry.
Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp is now incorporating the online component by offering master classes ahead of the camp via Zoom to help attendees feel prepared to rock out. The classes are 60-90 minutes long and will be hosted by Rock Camp Head Counselor Britt Lightning and the rockstar mentors. Attendees will also have the opportunity to Zoom with their rock star mentor seven to 10 days ahead of camp to discuss the songs they want to play with the guest star and the setlist for the live performance.
Registration for the Nov. 11-14 camp is open now with more information at RockCamp.com. An announcement on the site notes that the camp will be following all COVID protocols and safety measures set by the CDC and the State of Floria. The camp has also hired a COVID CDC officer to be on the premises at the rehearsal location studios to ensure the event is in compliance with all the rules.
While counting down the days until November, you can check out the new music documentary “Rock Camp: The Movie,” which is available to rent on all major on-demand platforms like iTunes. The inspiring film – which is rated 94% on Rotten Tomatoes – includes appearances by Fishof, Fantasy Camp campers and past Fantasy Camp counselors including Alice Cooper, Roger Daltrey, Sammy Hagar, Joe Perry, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Nancy Wilson and more.
Check back on Pollstar.com later this month for an interview with David Fishof about Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp.
