Despite a push by Justin Bieber to get his new song “Yummy” atop the sales and streams charts, it is Roddy Ricch who came in at No. 1 on the Elite 100 Artists chart for the week ending Jan. 9.

Ricch’s position came mostly from 155.4 million on-demand streams, the chart leader for the week in that category. His position was no doubt propelled by the popularity of his single “The Box,” which is on his Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial album, which dropped Dec. 6.

Ricch has a string of headline dates, starting tonight at Roseland Theater in Portland, Ore., and continuing for about a month, wrapping Feb. 13 at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, Kansas. He is also slotted to perform at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival April 11 and 18 in Indio, Calif.

The rapper opened for Post Malone at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England, Feb. 19 last year and the show was attended by 15,469 fans for a $1.27 million gross. He has also opened for Kevin Gates, G-Eazy, Metro Boomin and Blueface.

Rod Wave came in at No. 15 for the week, and is becoming a regular staple atop the chart. Wave recently announced a 2020 headline tour and his agent, Andrew Lieber of MAC Agency told Pollstar he expects him to replicate the success of clients Juice WRLD in 2018 or DaBaby in 2019.

Further down the chart Australian artist Tones And I comes in at No. 56 with 22,800 total album units. Her strongest metrics were 23,600 song sales and 21.7 on-demand streams. She gained one position on the chart from last week, when she appeared at No. 57. Her most popular song by a mile is “Dance Monkey”.

Linda Ronstadt appears on the chart at No. 97, with her strongest metric being 11,500 album sales. She was recently the subject of a documentary, “Linda Ronstadt: The Sound Of My Voice,” which aired on New Year’s Day on CNN.

Next week’s chart will include data on new releases from Selena Gomez, Poppy, Moneybagg Yo, Blueface, Ronnie Dunn, Nick Cannon, Circa Waves, Mick Jenkins, Georgia, Hawktail and Quando Rondo.

Also, be on the lookout for new albums from Halsey, Mac Miller (posthumous), Little Big Town, Raekwon, Stunna 4 Vegas, Blueface, Stroke 9, Anti-Flag, Mura Masa, Of Montreal, Algiers, Kid Trunks, The Bad Boys For Life Soundtrack and Trippie Redd.
