The new event by ALDA and Insomniac will premiere Sept. 10-12 if all goes according to plan.

Saga Festival is on track to celebrate its inaugural edition, Sept. 10-12, at Izvor Park in Bucharest, Romania, after being given the green light by the government.

Romania’s decision makers announced the lifting of some of the current coronavirus restrictions by Aug. 1, which includes increasing the allowed capacity at outdoor events to 75,000.
This would allow Saga Festival to go ahead at full capacity. Promoters ALDA and Insomniac expect visitors from more than 40 countries and six continents for the premiere, which features some of the biggest names in dance music on the bill: Tiësto, Amelie Lens, Carl Cox, Timmy Trumpet, Adam Beyer, Artbat, Alan Walker, and many more.
To gain entry into the festival site, visitors will be required to either  show proof of vaccination with a certificate, provide a negative result of an antigen rapid certificate or provide a negative PCR test result no older than 72 hours. They can also prove their immunity by proving that they’re attending Saga in the 15-180 days after having been tested positive for the virus.
Romanian prime minister Florin Cî?u said in a recent press conference: “We have approved the relaxation of restrictions from Aug. 1. Relaxation is a strong word today, because these measures are not relaxed much, many of them are maintained.
“I would mention the cultural-artistic and entertainment activities organized in open spaces with participation of at most 75,000 people in localities with an incidence less than or equal to two per thousand inhabitants. Very important condition – participants must be vaccinated or tested.”
