Shep Gordon, David Fishof Talk Their Careers, Rock Camp Master Class In Pollstar Live! Digital Session

Legendary artist manager “Supermensch” Shep Gordon and David Fishof, producer of Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp, sat down with Oak View Group’s Ray Waddell yesterday, Aug. 20, to talk about their careers, their summer vacations in turbulent times, and the new Rock Camp Master Class program which has been taking place nightly since June.
The Master Classes – organized by Fishof after the pandemic disrupted the entire live event industry – have featured Alice Cooper, Steve Gadd, Sebastian Bach, Steve Howe, Leslie West, Lita Ford, Liberty DeVitto, Derek St. Holmes, Mark Slaughter, Tracii Guns, Vinny Appice, and Shep Gordon himself, all giving lessons on how to rock in all aspects of the music industry.
The broad discussion during the interview ranges from Fishof’s transition to the music business during The Monkees’ run on MTV to Alice Cooper’s saran wrap jumpsuits and much, much more in between.

Gordon was a keynote speaker at Pollstar Live! 2017, along with longtime client Alice Cooper. Over the years he has worked with Blondie, Luther Vandross, George Clinton, Gypsy Kings and Pink Floyd. He also has partnered with Sammy Hagar in Cabo Wabo Tequila and Willie Nelson’s Old Whiskey River Bourbon, and is the author of the New York Times Best Seller “They Call Me Supermensch: A Backstage Pass to the Amazing Worlds of Film, Food, and Rock ’n Roll.”
Fishoff is the creator of the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp and has organizing Master Class programs since June, in partnership with Zoom and Ticketmaster, featuring sessions led by Alice Cooper, Sebastian Bach, Lita Ford, Tracii Guns, Steve Howe, Jack Blades and Shep Gordon.
