Shoreline Pavement Collapse

Thursday evening’s partial pavement collapse backstage at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif., has resulted in Matchbox Twenty rescheduling its weekend gig at the venue to Tuesday night.

A section of pavement in the loading ramp collapsed Thursday evening, reports The Mercury News, citing a Live Nation press release.

Matchbox Twenty and Shoreline Amphitheatre were scheduled to play the amphitheatre Friday evening.  Although Matchbox Twenty is now scheduled to perform July 25 at the venue, the announcement says Counting Crows will be absent Tuesday evening “due to a previously scheduled personal commitment.”

Fans unable to attend the newly rescheduled show may seek refunds at points of purchase.
