Slipknot is headed to Brazil in 2021 for the first-ever edition of Knotfest Brazil.
Since launching in 2012, Knotfest has held events in the United States, Japan, Mexico, Colombia and France. Now Brazil will get its turn on Dec. 19, 2021, with a festival held at Sambódromo do Anhembi in São Paulo.
Knotfest is described as “more than just a festival … an event that celebrates all cultural aspects of heavy music.”
Full details about the lineup have yet to be revealed. Slipknot will headline Knotfest Brazil and be joined by nine other bands, which will rock a total of 12 hours of music. The fest will include two stages, the Knotfest Museum, Food Park, and Merchandise Store, along with an amusement area.
Tickets for Knotfest Brazil go on sale Thursday, Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. Brasilia time. VIP experience packages will be available.
More dates and location are to come. Earlier this month Knotfest posted a 15-second video clip that hinted that 2021 Knotfest events would be announced in Brazil, Colombia and Chile.
Knotfest Brazil is brought to fans thanks to a partnership between 30 Entertainment and 5B Artists+Media.
5B Artists + Media’s Bob Johnson, Cory Brennan and Justin Arcangel graced the cover of Pollstar earlier this year.
