Before you forget, check out Slipknot’s traveling mini-fest with Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth all joining for the full run.

Knotfest is the name of Slipknot’s annual festival, and they are taking the same brand on the road in North America, promising “a mind-altering collision of music, art and culture.”

The routing begins July 26 in Mountain View, Calif.’s Shoreline Amphitheatre and continues for more than a month, wrapping up Sept. 8 at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman in The Woodlands, Texas.

The routing is mostly sheds, with some arenas mixed in. The only gig without Volbeat and Behemoth is Aug. 10 in Des Moines, Iowa, which is at the Iowa State Fair.

A presale for fan club members and citi cardholders began March 5. Tickets go on sale to the general public March 8.

Slipknot has a very busy year planned overall, with tons of festival appearances throughout Europe in June, including Knotfest Meets Hellfest June 20 in France.

Shawn “Clown” Crahan of Slipknot spoke at Pollstar Live!2018 about programming Knotfest, saying: “When we’re dealing with our festivals, we expect people to be themselves and not give in to pressure of scenes. We’ve done a Knotfest where we’ve had Tech N9ne, Ghostface Killah, all these great artists. And our fans – we’re not a band anymore, we’re a culture – I expect them to love what they’re being handed, and they are thankful, because they’re like: it’s about time.”

Slipknot’s business is big time, as they regularly gross hundreds of thousands of dollars at their headline shows. The last time they did a major tour, in 2016, they got to No. 89 on the Top 100 Worldwide Tours chart, with $18.1 million grossed off 445,703 total tickets reported.
