Chris Pile, previously consumer sales and marketing director for the ticketing company, was appointed as commercial director. Joining him is Nick Fenton in the new role of commercial manager. Both men will work on building their product base, selling TTF’s trade and registration system ExpoWare, and securing new clients in and around the West Midlands, where TTF is based.

Another key focus will be on the preparation of key national and high profile ticketing client tenders.

Aliya Hussain, who was appointed as partnerships manager, will be tasked with expanding TTF’s marketing and distribution reach. “The final important area for this team will be the Groups department, led by Groups sales manager Kelly Sharman, who joined TTF in December 2017,” the announcement from NEC Group states.

Richard Howle, who was appointed TTF director of ticketing in December, said: “This is the next exciting stage in The Ticket Factory’s development; only recently we secured an exclusive three year ticketing contract for Crufts – a fantastic contract win with a high-profile client.  Our focus is on expanding our service to clients such as Crufts and the product range for our customers. Introducing a dedicated commercial team serves to propel these ambitions.”

The Ticket Factory is NEC Group’s own ticketing systems, through which the group sells some 2.5 million tickets per year for all sorts of events across the UK. It serves as the box office for the NEC, Arena Birmingham and Genting Arena.

The news follows another NEC Group personnel change in the beginning of this year, when Ben Sharman joined the group’s arenas in Birmingham as venues sales manager.
