The Used, Thrice, Circa Survive, Sum 41 To Take Rockstar Energy Disrupt Festival To Amphitheatres This Summer

A partnership between boutique festival producer Synergy Global Entertainment and Live Nation, the Rockstar Energy Disrupt Festival will make its touring debut across North America this summer, with 25 dates and artists including The Used, Thrice, Circa Survive, Sum 41, The Story So Far, Atreyu and others June 21 to July 28.
Other bands on Disrupt include Sleeping With Sirens, Andy Black, Four Years Strong, Memphis May Fire, Trophy Eyes, Juliet Simms and Hyro The Hero.
Disrupt kicks off June 21 at Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas and will make stops in Austin, Atlanta, Toronto, Denver and more before wrapping July 28 at Isleta Amptheater in Albuquerque, N.M.
Fans will enjoy a full-day interactive experience with lifestyle and pop-up brand activations. The festival will take place across two stages, and fans who bring any empty 16 ounce can of Rockstar Energy Drink to recycle at the main gate will be allowed to skip the line and be entered to win a signed festival guitar and meet & greet with festival headliners.
Tickets go on sale March 29 at 10 a.m. local time.
Boutique festival promoter SGE, led by John Reese and Heather Vantress, has become one of the largest, with more than 30 events and forecasting between 1.75 million and 2.25 million tickets sold for 2019 over 170 festival days. Reese told Pollstar that five or six all-new events would take place in 2019.

While the company has been putting on one-off boutique events for artists including Eddie Vedder (Ohana Festival) Travis Barker (MusINK) and Excision (Lost Lands) among others, Reese and Vantress have plenty of experience in traveling festivals, as well as many of the So-Cal punk bands on the Disrupt bill.
“In 2005, I really got engaged in the festival business with the Taste of Chaos,” Reese told Pollstar recently. “I started that in 2005 and it was The Used and My Chemical Romance and 10 other bands, and we did it in arenas all over the United States and then eventually to 21 countries all over the world. It was the first time that we used sponsorship, real true sponsorship within a festival environment, with Rockstar Energy Drink. They were not nearly as large as they are right now when we started with them.”
