Ticketmaster, Pandora Integration Bridges Streaming To Live Gap

Ticketmaster and Pandora unveiled an integration last week that will make it easier for fans to find shows while listening to their favorite artists.
Ticketmaster data will  be used to notify Pandora listeners when artists are in town and when tickets are going on sale, based on location and listener history. Ticketmaster is also now integrated into the Pandora AMP Promote Show tool, which artists can use to create marketing campaigns.

The new integration closely mirrors a similar partnership with Eventbrite from 2018, as first reported by Billboard. It does, however, use Ticketmaster data and gives fans access to the ticketing giant’s voluminous inventory of events.

Ticketing integrations through streaming platforms and social media sites have been trickling out for the past several years, and the Pandora/TM partnership is a natural progression, particularly after Pandora sold Ticketfly to Eventbrite in 2017.

Pandora recently aligned itself with promotional titan AEG Presents of five major U.S. festivals to become the exclusive digital sponsor of the events and to host a “Sound On Lounge” at each event.
