UK & Ireland: Tours Announced By The Who & The 1975

One of the most iconic bands to come out of the UK, and one of the hottest UK acts of today, each announced a new tour in support of their respective new albums.
The Who releases its first new studio album in 13 years, called Who, on November 22. The supporting tour kicks off March 16, 2020, at Manchester Arena, England. Fans who pre-order the album by Sept. 17 will gain access to the pre-sale by Ticketmaster. The general on-sale begins Sept. 20.
The tour stops at 3 Arena Dublin, Ireland (March 18), Newcastle’s Utilita Arena (March 21), the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland (March 23), First Direct Arena Leeds (March 25), Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales (March 30), Resorts World Arena Birmingham (April 1), Motorpoint Arena Nottingham (April 3), Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena (April 6), and closes April 8 at London’s SSE Arena, Wembley.
The Who is currently in the U.S. with its Moving On! symphonic concert tour. The tour’s second U.S. leg kicked off Sept. 1 at Madison Square Garden, NY, selling out 14,438 tickets and grossing $1,676,353 according to Pollstar’s box office report.

The 1975 announced their fourth studio album, Notes On A Conditional Form, for Feb. 21, 2020, also offering early ticket access by Sept. 17 to fans who pre-order.
The accompanying tour launches Feb. 15 at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena, and closes March 3 in Ireland, at Dublin’s 3 Arena. Tour stops include Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle Upon Tyne (Feb. 16), First Direct Arena Leeds (Feb. 17), Bournemouth International Centre (Feb. 19), The O2, London (Feb. 21), Motorpoint Arena Cardiff, Wales (Feb. 23), Arena Birmingham (Feb. 25), M&S Bank Arena Liverpool (Feb. 26), Manchester Arena (Feb. 28), P&J Live Arena Aberdeen, Scotland (Feb. 29), and The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland (March 1).
The 1975, too, are currently touring abroad. The band will perform in Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia and Indonesia in September, before coming to the U.S. in November, where it kicks things off with two shows at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ.
It’s the second visit to North America this year. The 1975 already toured the country between April and June selling out most of the venues. Pollstar’s last box office report from that visit shows 13,265 tickets sold and $501,065 grossed on June 3 at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, CA.
