Comedian, actor and Bollywood star Vir Das is now being represented by UTA worldwide, in all areas. Oh, and did we mention he’s also a musician?

The multi-talented performer’s website proclaims Das as “India’s highest selling stand up comedian, actor and musician.” In 2017 he became the first comedian from India to land a Netflix special with “Vir Das: Abroad Understanding.” He then landed a multi-special Netflix deal and released “Vir Das: Losing It” in 2018 and “Vir Das: For India,” which premiered in January.
Das is one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, having starred in films including Delhi Belly, Badmaash Company and Go Goa Gone. And he’s also made waves as an actor in the U.S. including as a series regular on the first season of ABC’s “Whiskey Cavalier” in 2019. Das also created and starred in the Amazon Prime comedy series “Jestination Unknown” in October 2019, bringing stand-up comedy to different parts of India, and created and starred in the local language series Hasmokh for Netflix.
As musician, his career highlights includes serving as the vocalist for comedy rock Alien Chutney, which released the album Mauritian Chutney in 2012.

During quarantine, he’s been busy interacting with fans online, including posting performances of the tunes “Coronavirus Blues” and “See You Outside.” In August he released the lockdown special “Inside Out,” with proceeds going to four COVID relief charities.
Prior to COVID, Das played a global tour boasting performances in 20 countries on six continents. Reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice department include a Dec. 8, 2019 stop at the DeLaMar Theatre in Amsterdam that sold 546 tickets and grossed $17,730. He also played two April 2019 shows at Boston’s The Wilbur, selling 1,916 tickets and grossing $58,718.
Tickets are on sale now for Das’ “See You Outside Tour,” an open air, socially distanced show at Akshara Theatre in Delhi Oct. 29 through Nov. 1.
He continues to be managed by Levity and attorney Isaac Dunham.
Das was previously represented by Creative Artists Agency.
