Coachella may be off for 2020, but Whiskey Myers is putting on its very own camping festival – Firewater Music Festival – and the group is inviting Drive-By Truckers, Whitey Morgan, Ray Wylie Hubbard, The Steel Woods and more.
The event is staging Oct. 1-3 at an outdoor location just south of Kansas City. Tickets are on sale now and there is no specific information currently available about maximum capacity, but organizers have said they are “working in tandem with state and local government” to ensure the event is safe for all attendees.
Two-day passes are going for $125 with tent camping included. VIP and Super VIP passes are available for $225 and $399, respectively, and Primitive RV sites are available for an additional $200. Payment plans are available, and some tickets are discounted when purchased in groups of four.
Whiskey Myers frontman Cody Cannon spoke to Pollstar in 2016 and discussed the group’s consistency of membership and the benefits of operating as a truly independent artist.
The last Boxoffice report for Whiskey Myers is from Jan. 10 at The Intersection / Showroom in Grand Rapids, Mich. That show, which featured The Steel Woods as support, grossed $36,743.
