Comic Whitney Cummings will host this year’s Pollstar Awards, slated to take place February 6 at Los Angeles’ Beverly Hilton.

The seasoned performer will inject plenty of humor into a night featuring coveted awards such as Major Tour of the Year, Best New Concert Venue, Venue Executive of the Year, Talent Buyer of the Year and the Bill Graham and Bobby Brooks Awards, recognizing the year’s best promoter and agent, respectively.

Cummings released her fourth stand-up special, “Can I Touch It?,” in 2019, and has extensive television credits, including “Whitney,” the NBC series she created and starred in, and “2 Broke Girls,” the Emmy-nominated CBS comedy series she co-created and co-wrote. She’s appeared on shows such as “Workaholics” and “Maron,” and has had silver screen turns in films including “Unforgettable,” “The Wedding Ringer” and “The Ridiculous Six.”

In 2017, she made her directorial debut with a feature adaptation of Louann Brizendine’s best-selling book “The Female Brain.” Off screen, Cummings debuted her book “I’m Fine…And Other Lies” in October 2017.

In November 2019, Cummings launched her podcast “Good For You,” which has already featured guests including Dave Grohl, Jim Jefferies, Bill Burr, Ronan Farrow, Phoebe Robinson, Busy Philipps and Fred Armisen.

From March 13 to July 11, Cummings will perform at theaters across the U.S. as part of her “How Dare You Tour,” making stops at Chicago’s Vic Theatre (March 27), San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts Theater (April 11), Boston’s Wilbur (May 9) and more.

Cummings follows other esteemed hosts including fellow comic Bert Kreischer, who hosted the 30th Annual Pollstar Awards in 2019 and appeared on Pollstar‘s cover earlier this month.

As always, the Pollstar Awards cap Pollstar Live!, the world’s largest gathering of live entertainment professionals and Pollstar‘s flagship event. This year, Pollstar Live! will feature several engaging panels including: “The Rule of Three: How C3’s Three Cs Changed the Way We Present Live Music,” which will convene C3 Presents founders Charles Attal, Charlie Jones and Charlie Walker; “So Much World, So Little Time,” which will tackle modern international tour routing and feature panelists from UTA, CAA, Live Nation and more; and “Women + The Road 3,” where Paradigm’s Sara Bollwinkel, Live Nation’s Ali Harnell, Really Useful Group’s Jessica Koravos and Live Nation’s Lesley Olenik will discuss the intersection of women and the live business.
