Industry leaders will convene Oct. 29 to discuss the intersection of live and civic engagement.

Less than a week remains until Election Day, and Americans of all stripes are getting engaged in politics at unprecedented levels, whether voting, campaigning or volunteering to help the electoral process itself.

The music industry is no exception, as Pollstar‘s latest cover story, about #iVoted’s sprawling Nov. 3 Election Day stream, makes clear.

On Thursday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. ET, Pollstar and affiliate publication VenuesNow will convene several industry leaders to discuss how the live business has activated for one of the most consequential elections in history – during a once-in-a-century pandemic, no less – and the intersection of live entertainment and civic participation.

The panel will feature #iVoted co-founder Emily White, #iVoted board member and Kevin Lyman Group founder Kevin Lyman and #iVoted artists Patterson Hood and Vernon Reid, of Drive-By Truckers and Living Colour, respectively. Mary Kay Huse, co-founder of Mandolin, the platform hosting #iVoted’s Election Day stream, will participate, as will Andy Bernstein, executive director of esteemed voter engagement organization HeadCount, which recently registered its millionth voter and has a stage at #iVoted Festival.

And, following the establishment of venues across the country as polling sites, two venue executives – State Farm Arena’s Steve Koonin and Levi’s Stadium’s Hannah Gordon – will round out the panel.

Tune in at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET on Pollstar‘s Facebook to catch the conversation. For more about #iVoted, revisit Pollstar‘s current cover story. And, most importantly, make sure to vote.
